The Honeywell WFS6000 Water Flow Switch paddle type SPDT WFS series have been designed to offer excellent performance, particularly in applications where accuracy, reliability, and rugged construction are necessary. The intended use of the WFS series is on liquid flow lines carrying water or any fluid that is neither harmful to brass and phosphor bronze nor classified as a hazardous fluid. It is possible to wire them to close one circuit and open a second circuit when liquid flow either exceeds or drops below the adjusted flow rate. The recommended use of the WFS series is for liquid pressure and temperature as specified below. Not recommended to use the WFS series on lines carrying liquids below 0°C, as it is crucial to avoid. It is acceptable to use these series on liquids with high salt or chlorine content, but they are not suitable for use in hazardous atmospheres. In order to ensure their proper functioning while using them outdoors, it is necessary to protect WFS flow switches from weather or splashing water. The designers have designed WFS flow switches solely for use as operating controls. Where an operating control failure would result in personal injury and/or loss of property, it is the responsibility of user to add safety devices that protect against, or supervisory systems that warn of control failure.
